| WELCOME to our web site, and to this extension of the ministries of the West Lawn United Methodist Church!
We count it a privilege to work with each member and friend in this partnership of the Gospel, as we encourage one and all to join us in:
Inviting all people to a place where they can discover God’s saving grace for themselves;
Embracing all God’s children so that we may each grow in our understanding of God and God’s plan for us; and
Empowering people to serve God (a) with the gifts God has given them, (b) in the place God sends us, and (c) in the time of God’s choosing.
As you explore this site, and perhaps visit our church, it won’t take you long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth. We desire to reach out to you, as well.
Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open. So, if you’ve been thinking, praying, searching or hoping for a place to belong, we say WELCOME HOME!

| PRAISE GOD for your Generous Hearts!
We thank you, and invite you to praise God with us, for all the ways God continues to stir the hearts of God’s people in this place.
Following the January 12th earthquake in Haiti our church family responded by:
- Giving $10,247 to UMCOR for Haiti, through our church;
- Giving $1,322 to Team ONE:27 through our church; and
- Our youth raised $7,812 in the community for Team ONE:27!
All told, we know of at least $19,381 given to help with the ministry of recovery to the people of Haiti that came from this church
in one way or another! That, of course, does not include any gifts by our church family mailed directly to UMCOR, Team ONE:27 or another
relief project. It also does not take into account all the items in the large and small bus that have been shipped to Divine Ministries
orphanage in Haiti. So please, take time to give thanks to God today for the good works being done among us and through us,
and “let us not become weary in doing good” (Gal. 6:9, NIV).
