– FIREHOUSE YOUTH –
6th – 12th Grade Students
Just like the Church, our Mission is to
INVITE, EMBRACE and EMPOWER Students:
Invite: We seek to provide an opportunity for students to experience the invitation to enter into a saving relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ, as well as to easily extend that invitation to their friends.
One of the ways we accomplish this is through a “traditional” style of youth group on Sunday Nights. We meet in the Community Center for a a time of fellowship, fun, worship, prayer & listen to a message.
Middle School meets from 5:30 – 7:30 PM
High School meets from 6:45 – 8:45 PM
Embrace: We seek to provide an opportunity for our students and leaders to embrace one another and to walk closely together on their spiritual journey. We will look for ways that students can push deeper in their walk with the Lord and to feel secure in their faith.
Our Wednesday night small groups are one of the prime ways we accomplish this goal. Students meet for dinner at 6 p.m. and then break up into small groups from 6:30-7:45 p.m. based on gender and grade level for some deeper and more personal conversations about their faith.
Empower: We seek to provide an opportunity to empower our students to have confidence in their identity in Christ, to speak boldly about their faith, and to reflect the love of God everywhere they go. We desire that Students will start to be leaders among their peers, at their schools and at the Church.
We will look to empower and equip them during Sunday school as well as through student leadership opportunities, mission’s trips and community outreach events. We have two separate Sunday School Classes, which meet at 9:30 a.m. in the upstairs of the Community Center. Youth meet in Room 201. Our Confirmation Class (8th grade) meets in the Firehouse Café.
Get Involved: We are a VERY active group with monthly events, quarterly retreats and a summer schedule that promises to provide ample opportunity for young people to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord and to have fun doing it! Check out the calendar or our weekly bulletin to find out what’s happening now!
