WE ARE: Bible-Based, Christ-Centered, Committed to Radical Hospitality, Striving for Extravagant Generosity, Mission-Minded, Community-Focused.
At West Lawn, we consider it a privilege to work with each member and friend in this partnership of the Gospel, as we encourage one and all to join.
- Inviting - All people to a place where they can discover God’s saving grace for themselves;
- Embracing - All God’s children so that we may each grow in our understanding of God and God’s plan for us; and
- Empowering - People to serve God with the gifts God has given them, in the place God sends us, and in the time of God’s choosing.
As you learn more about our Church, and perhaps worship with us or attend one of our many programs or events, it won’t take you long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth. We desire to reach out to you, as well.

West Lawn Wednesday Dinner is back again for our 19th Season!
West Lawn Wednesday is a filling station in the middle of our busy week and is open to the community. We gather together to first fill our bodies with a delicious home cooked meal enhanced by friendly conversation and laughter, then transition to classes, worship and mid-week programs designed to then fill our souls. Each week, with warm, embrac- ing smiles, our devoted Kitchen Ministry Team and Class Facilitators serves “welcome” on a plate and in our gathering rooms.
West Lawn Wednesday (WLW) began as a means to bring together the attendees of our four Sunday services for a time of midweek food and fellowship. The goal was not fund raising. However, since WLW began in 2001 with 12 servant volunteers serving 40 of our members, over $155,000 has been contributed to support outreach programs and various mission projects in the Reading area and beyond. In 2018, this team served an average of 400+ people per week, many of who are not members of our congregation. This 2019-2020 year marks our 19th season of West Lawn Wednesday activities!
